From the front door
Most of what’s worth doing here is within an hour: the lake, the hills, the market and the lanes after dark. We’ll arrange the rest.
01 · On the water · Half day
A morning on the lake
A wooden launch from the town jetty, a swim in a cove only reachable by boat, and back for lunch in the garden.

02 · In the hills · Full day
The high pasture walk
A marked path from the top of the funicular through larch woods to a farm that makes one cheese, once a year.
We pack lunch and arrange the return (sample)
03 · At the house · Two hours
Cooking with the kitchen
Morning at the market with our cook, then two hours at the long table making whatever you bought.
Saturdays, four guests at most (sample)
04 · In town · Evening
The old town after dark
An hour’s walk with a local historian through lanes the day-trippers miss, ending at a bar with no sign.
