01Our Philosophy

Made for the
moments that remain.

Some memories never leave. A familiar warmth, the air after rain, the quiet trace of someone you love. Vérane transforms these fleeting moments into fragrances that stay with you.

02The Olfactive Notes

An art of

ii — Heart

SPICED AMBER

Warm and enveloping.

iii — Base

CEDARWOOD

Dry, deep, and enduring.

04The Signature

Leave nothing
but a feeling.

A signature is not what enters a room. It is what remains after you leave.

05Raw Materials

Nothing arrives
by accident.

Three materials carry the house: a citrus pressed cold in winter, a wood that dries for two years, a root harvested by hand. Each is bought from the same families, year after year.

01Citrus

Bergamot peel, cold-pressed in Calabria between November and February.

Growth rings of a cut log, warm brown wood grain
02Woods

Atlas cedar, air-dried for two years before the oil is drawn.

White iris flowers with yellow centres on a pale studio background
03Roots & flowers

Orris rhizomes, aged three years before they smell of anything at all.

06The Ritual

Worn close,
never announced.

A fragrance is applied, not sprayed. Two pulse points, the skin left alone, the scent allowed to settle before you leave the house.

i

Pulse points

Inside the wrist, the hollow of the throat. Warmth carries the scent.

ii

Never rubbed

Rubbing breaks the top notes. Let the mist dry where it lands.

iii

Let it settle

Twenty minutes. What you smell then is what others will.

Two pulse points. Nothing more.

Extrait de Parfum · 100 ml

Cendre No. II

Dark woods · Spice · Smoked vetiver

An evening composition. Black pepper and clove over charred woods, quiet as a room after the fire has gone out.

Éclaircie No. III

Soft musk · Iris · Clean woods

Linen in morning light. Powdery iris and skin-close musks, transparent and calm, like a held breath.

07The Maison

One perfumer.
Three compositions.

Vérane was founded in 2019 by a single perfumer who wanted to make fewer things, slowly. Everything is composed in Grasse, macerated for eight weeks and bottled by hand in small numbered runs.

Voices

“A house that trusts silence. Orée is the first amber in years I have wanted to wear in daylight.”

Journal des Senteurs · sample quotation

“Cendre does not smell of smoke. It smells of the hour after.”

The Quiet Review · sample quotation

“Éclaircie disappears into the skin and then, around noon, someone asks what you are wearing.”

Maison & Matière · sample quotation

The Letter

Twelve letters
a year.

A short letter each month: what is on the bench, where the materials come from, when a new run is bottled. Nothing else.

Demonstration form: nothing is sent or stored.
