Form inbox and emails
Every accepted form answer appears in the form's inbox, with every question exactly as the visitor answered it, including questions the destination record has no field for.
The inbox
Open a form in Forms to see its answers.
- Unread is counted for each person separately: one admin reading an answer does not clear it for the others.
- Handle each answer: set its status, assign it to a colleague and add a note.
- Search, export to CSV and delete answers.
- Each answer shows the page it was sent from and the record it created.
Emails to the team
In the form's Emails settings, choose:
- Every response: one email per answer, the default.
- Daily summary: one email per form each morning at 08:00, server time.
- Off.
List the addresses to notify. When the list is empty, the Forms plugin's addresses are used, then the site's administrators.
Email rules send to a different address when an answer matches, for example quotes over a value to sales and support questions to the help desk.
The visitor's thank-you email
Turn on the autoreply, pick the question that holds the visitor's email, and write the subject and message. It can include a copy of their answers.
Spam and limits
The Forms plugin limits how many submissions one address can send per hour, blocks words you list, and sets the notification subject and reply-to field for every form of a website.
Note
The site must be able to send email (an Email Account in the back office) for any of these emails to go out.
